Father’s Day joy

On Sunday, I helped Choo-choo make a Father’s Day present for Diesel. We used crayons, markers, ink pads, stickers, and glue for the letters. For once, I was finally able to not worry about the mess, even though we were decorating the picture on the carpet.

I took the time to watch my son create. I saw the joy in his face as he basked in being proud of his work. I ignored the fact that he had mostly unwashable ink on his fingers instead of panicking about what effect the ink would have on the floor.

I love, love, LOVE this progress!!
