I will be doing something new very soon (and I can’t wait for you all to see it!). For now, I want to share another first for me. Continue reading “One first among many”
Diesel and I were discussing our next vacation the other day. If we could fit another trip in or not. We came to the sad conclusion that we probably won’t be able to camp anymore this year.
Well, more sad for him than me. If you recall, we had quite a few miserable, disastrous vacations. Sure, we had some not quite so bad trips, too. I just feel like I am over this whole “camping with a toddler who doesn’t want to sleep at night” thing. Mama needs her sleep too much for that.
We used to camp in the autumn all the time, Diesel and I. We had favorite spots picked out and Continue reading “So long to a tradition”
So Diesel, Choo-choo, and I went on another little camping trip. It all started with a lot of stress during the packing and preparations, which led to disagreements between my husband and I since we weren’t able to Continue reading “Sleeping arrangements”
This past weekend, Diesel, Dodge, Choo-choo, and I went up to a vintage truck show held at a car museum. The streak continues. I cried on my birthday.
Several times actually. I can’t really say much more, as that wouldn’t be fair to Diesel. Suffice it to say it was an ugly, rough day, one that makes me never want to celebrate my birthday again. Continue reading “Happy Birthday to me”
It has been a pretty brutal past two weeks, to say the least. Diesel, Choo-choo, and I were leaving on a camping vacation. Of course, nothing was ready. By “nothing,” I mean absolutely nothing. Diesel spent day after day trying to get one of his two trucks set for the trip. There was something majorly wrong with both, and neither wanted to cooperate.
Then there was the water leaking through the roof of both our old campers. Water in the ceilings, the walls, the floors. One seemed to have slightly less damage, so that’s the one Diesel had to fix. I am the one who packs the camper, but I couldn’t do my job until Diesel was done with his. So we were rushing around at the last minute, like always, desperately trying to accomplish it all in a very short amount of time. Continue reading “A trip to remember (or maybe not)”
